Bayanihan For
Farmed Animals

Empowering Filipinos to build kinder
relationships with farmed animals through
empathy and shared action.

Bayanihan For Farmed Animals (BFF) Program is an initiative by Animal Empathy Philippines that makes sure farmed animals—like pigs, chickens, cows, goats, and ducks—are no longer left out of disaster plans, policies, or community care.
Rooted in kapwa and bayanihan, the program equips individuals, educators, and LGUs to take practical, compassionate action that fits real life.
Farmed animals are often left behind during disasters, ignored in policy, and left out of public concern, despite making up most of the animals under human care. The Philippines also ranks E (lowest score) in global farmed animal welfare, showing the urgent need for stronger awareness, action, and inclusion.

Filipinos do care about farmed animals but they are still left out of the conversation. Bayanihan For Farmed Animals closes this gap through these strategies:

Educate

Share evidence-based, culturally relevant knowledge

Engage

Connect people through stories, events, and platforms like Pinoys For Farmed Animals

Enable

Equip individuals and institutions with tools and training for lasting impact
